Each pair of Supporo stockings is defined by the level of pressure measured in millimetres of mercury (mmHg). It is best to consult a health professional in order to determine the level of support you require based on your medical condition and needs:

  • Light pressure: Less than 16mmHg
  • Moderate pressure: 16-20mmHg
  • Strong pressure: More than 20mmHg
  • Medical: Up to 40mmHg

Light Pressure: 6-8, 10-15 & 12-16MMHG

Compression stockings with a pressure level of less than 16mmHg are ideal for travellers, pregnant women, people who must stand for long periods of time and those who have tired legs at the end of the day. They are designed to improve circulation, while relieving tired legs, preventing minor swelling in the feet, ankles and legs and reducing the risk of minor varicose veins.

Offered in 6 different models (synthetic fabric or cotton):

  • Pantyhose
  • Thigh-high stockings
  • Knee-high stockings

Moderate pressure: 15-20MMHG

Compression stockings with a pressure level between 15 and 20 mmHG are perfect for pregnant women and travellers at risk of venous thrombosis and for people with varicose veins or moderate swelling in the legs. They are also prescribed for patients who have undergone minor vein surgeries.

Offered in 4 different models (synthetic fabric or cotton):

  • Pantyhose
  • Knee-high stockings

Strong pressure: 20-25 & 20-30mmHg

Compression stockings with a pressure level of more than 20mmHg are used in severe cases of varicose veins and swelling in the legs, postthrombotic syndrome, postsclerotherapy cases and other major vein surgeries. Please consult a health professional for advice if you believe you require this level of compression.

Medical

Supporo medical socks are crafted with two-way stretch K1 microfibre and robust yarn for a more opaque look. They are available in open and closed toe models and suited to men and women. These stockings are intended for people with more serious health issues requiring regular medical follow-up. Medical stockings require a more accurate adjustment process that involves measuring the ankle, mid-calf, knee and thigh to determine the product best suited to the needs of each patient.

The Supporo collection of medical stockings is regularly tested by the Hohenstein Research Institute in Germany.

Offered in 8 different models:

  • Thigh-high socks (open or closed toe)
  • Knee-high socks (open or closed toe)
