What are the risks of going darker when you start with blonde hair?

Darkening your hair by two shades is fine. You can apply the coloring cream directly onto the hair. If you want to darken your hair more than 2 shades, you must first repigment your hair on the surface. This step ensures that the color will not ‘slip’ or wash out too quickly.
