Why does the wax break off when I try to pull apart the wax strips?

Wax strips usually break off when they haven’t been heated properly by rubbing them between your hands for a few seconds; or are left to sit around for too long. Each wax strip will give you two functional strips when pulled apart. It is important to use both promptly to ensure the temperature is optimal and that the wax does not dry up.
